Painter
The Painter is responsible for preparing and painting walls, ceilings, structures, fixtures, and other surfaces in residential, commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
The successful candidate will prepare surfaces, mix and apply paints and coatings, perform finishing work, inspect completed surfaces, and ensure work meets required quality standards.
This position is suitable for skilled trade professionals with practical painting experience and the ability to work accurately with different painting tools, materials, and surface types.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform painting work according to project requirements and specifications.
- Prepare walls, ceilings, doors, frames, and other surfaces before painting.
- Clean, sand, scrape, repair, and smooth surfaces as required.
- Apply primer, paint, protective coatings, and finishing materials.
- Mix paint and coatings according to required specifications.
- Use brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other painting tools safely.
- Apply appropriate painting techniques for different surfaces.
- Perform interior and exterior painting work.
- Repair cracks, holes, and minor surface imperfections before painting.
- Apply multiple coats where required.
- Maintain consistent coverage, color, and finishing quality.
- Protect furniture, fixtures, floors, and surrounding areas during painting.
- Inspect completed work for uneven coverage, marks, or other defects.
- Perform touch-up and corrective painting work where required.
- Maintain painting tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Clean tools and equipment after completing assigned work.
