Carpenter
The Carpenter is responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures, fixtures, fittings, and other carpentry components in residential, commercial, and construction environments.
The successful candidate will measure and prepare materials, interpret basic drawings, use carpentry tools, install wooden components, complete finishing work, and ensure that completed work meets required quality standards.
This position is suitable for skilled trade professionals with practical carpentry experience and the ability to work accurately and safely with wood, tools, and construction materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform carpentry work according to project requirements and specifications.
- Measure and mark materials accurately before cutting.
- Cut, shape, and prepare wood and other construction materials.
- Construct and install wooden structures and components.
- Install doors, frames, cabinets, shelves, panels, and other wooden fixtures.
- Perform repair and maintenance work on wooden structures.
- Read and follow basic technical drawings and carpentry instructions.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely.
- Assemble wooden components accurately.
- Check measurements, alignment, levels, and finishing quality.
- Sand, smooth, and finish wooden surfaces where required.
- Replace damaged wooden components.
- Assist with renovation and remodeling projects.
